Just getting this thread underway, hopefully there'll be some newcomers this month (Rocket Boy included).

As usual, new moon observing at Kulnura this weekend (3rd September).

Here's the map if you're new (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/downloads/kulnura_map.jpg) (250k jpeg)

Excellent dark skies, great fields, facilities (power, toilets, etc), easy and quick to get to, and of course great company. We usually get about 10 people each month, hopefully this weekend will be no different.

At this stage, I may not be there as I went out the weekend just gone, and getting a leave pass two weekends in a row may prove difficult. :poke:

I'll update the thread with people confirmed..

- John Bambury (ausastronomer)
- Anthony (frogman)
- Louie (atalas)
- Rod (rodstar)
- Andrew (hector) with his 20"!

Who else is coming?

Rodstar

I'll still be going, even if it is looking a tad cloudy, because past experience tells me that the sky opens up just when you least expect it at Kulnura.

Given that it is raining (there and here), even the fire looks like a no-go. Unless the weather changes, I'm going to bail. See you next time fellas. I want to know who is responsible (ie, who bought a new scope??)
