First attempt at widefield astrophotography. Image was taken at The Oaks last night. Jupiter can be seen in top right corner along with constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius to it's left.
Shot taken with Canon 40D (I LOVE LIVEVIEW) with a Tamron 17-50mm. Feedback and criticism is welcome thanks for looking :)

I like the framing and overall effect, even like the clouds.:) Lens seems to be showing a fair bit of coma around the edges. Thanks for sharing.
For a first attempt at wide field stuff, you have done very well indeed, I like it, keep up the good work.

Thanks Dave :) Unfortunately the Tamron is known to exhibit coma around the edge when wide open :(

That's a beautiful shot! I love it with the foreground.
What length were your exposures and how many of them were there?
Were you on a tracking mount?

Thanks Mike
It was a single 30sec exposure on my Manfrotto tripod, no tracking at all.
Beautiful photo, well done  amazing amount captured in a 30 sec exp, must be lucky to have a great dark site. Look forward to seeing more :)
