Awwwww com'om Peter with your incredible mega bucks kit can't you image something other than tired old NGC 253 yet agaaaaaaaaain

There area a plethora of other great bright objects up at the moment

Still, nice though I guess?.. and I like the trails in the image, always have! :)

It was more the commentary than the data...(which is old, but finally made useful with Russ Cronman's gradient-x)

Might do M42 next :)

Pay no attention to the grumblers Peter, LOL.

NGC 253 may be an old faithful but it is great to see it put in a widefield context. A bit more like what us mere mortals would see throught the eyepiece.

I like it,Nice!

Nice Image Peter but I tend to agree with David, but having said that it does give your image contrast.

Very crisp. The details and contrast in the center are amazing. Colour version should come have real nice.

Very nice detail Peter. Clouds are as bad as a neighboure with floodlights. Well nearly. What scope was this image taken with?

Call it Black and White or anything in between, I quite like the look of that Peter, nice work indeed.

B&W still has a place IMHO. Very nice image

I was really more focused on the fact there is so much light (gradients), orbital debris (light trails) and air traffic (trail city) that can make wide field from the 'burbs quite a challenge.

I took the image with my AP155 a bit over a year ago....(30 mins, SBIG STL11000, self guided, clear filter) and "rediscovered" the unprocessed data only recently.

Thanks to one and all for your comments.

Not a bad shot... :) Its just one of those targets that comes out better with focal length...
