just posing a simple question, will the shoestring DSUSB work with a Pentax K10D - the 400D 350D and the 300D all use the same connection as the Pentax K10D for remote bulb?

Try this. I build a remote shutter release from some switches and a stereo connector plug from Jaycar. Works like a charm with my Pentax 100D
