I have finally got an email from Calsky alerting me to a pass of the ISS in front of the sun for my location.:)

The event is due to occur at 16:33:23.14 on Tuesday afternoon... that's about the time I'd be driving in the front gate after knocking off from work.... It's also on an afternoon when I want to be busy packing for IISAC:rolleyes:.

How I'd like to be able to knock off an hour or so early to set the scope up, to capture it:whistle:. It would be easier to swallow if it was a day when I was at IISAC... it would be just tough luck!

Now if only I had my obs setup... I could've had everything prepared just waiting for me to get home... ...one day...

Bummer Al. Hope at lunch time your boss says "You've been great this week Al, why not take the rest of the afternoon off." But being such a conscientious guy we know you would decline the kind offer to ensure you don't let the rest of the team down.

:rolf: Yeah right!!!!

btw how do you get calsky to alert you to this fabulous opportunity.

Setup the search with the criteria you want in Calsky:
ISS; Only Transits, etc

When the page is setup to show what you want, click on the little red phone icon to load it into your email alerts:thumbsup:.

You might need to set up some stuff in the alerter first... follow the link on the front page and it should get you started.

I have Alerts set up for:

Space junk decaying close to me
This weeks ISS passes
Lunar eclipse
Solar Eclipse
ISS transits of the moon and sunAl.
