Attached is an image of NGC55. Very dificult target last night with the wind blowing my dog off her chain.
I ended up with 5 x 10 minute images which were usable. I had to lower the pier to its lowest setting to try and keep the scopes below the walls and away from the wind. Then came the high level fine cloud which thickened and it was time to give up, pack up and go to bed.
Reasonably happy with the result but a few more subs would certainly have made a diference.

All images were calibrated with flats and bias frames. Images were calibrated and stacked in IP3 then manipulated with CS3.

Images shot with QHY8 cooled CCD and a Vixen VC200L at F6.4

Nice job Doug, some good detail in there.

I also like the remaining noise too :P ...hey Fred likes narrow field's I (we?) like some noise left in images

Very nice image Doug of this unusual galaxy with its offcentre nucleus.

Nice work
I like it because you have captured the faint extension past the bright bulge, have some good detail in there, and because it ISNT yet another ngc253

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes it has a lttle noise but I am loathed to mask the bacground and remove all the noise as I feel it makes the image look to unnatural. I think the image could use some more exposure so I will add a few more exposures when I get around to it and when Mother nature is a little kinder.
