A must have for every amateur astronomer's kit. Where do get 'em, here (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PIRATE-TELESCOPES-LARGE-AND-EXTENDING_W0QQitemZ190261097971QQcm dZViewItem?hash=item190261097971&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A1% 7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) of course. Great for those cloudy or rainy nights, a bit of make believe or pantomine perhaps, pirate day, even star parties! No, I am not associated with the sale of these telescopes in any way. It's surprising what turns up when you do a simple search on eBay though.

The thing is as crooked as a dogs hind leg

Amazes me somewhat how little care in presentation some people take when advertising an item. Reminds me of the ebay newtonians shown with the finderscope on backwards

Whats worse is that i contacted the seller to inform them of the fact and they continued advertising their scopes with the same dodgy assembly pic!

I really want one in my back pocket for star parties! Anyone going to buy a swag of them and will sell me one? I reckon you'd sell them all for a tidy profit at your next star party!

(He says he'll change it if faulty - eg miscollimated or suffering from CA??? :D )

Is that some kind of pirate unit of measure?
