Like the title says, looking for a plastic case, like a tool box, with dimensions 1100mm(or more) x 300mm x 300mm doesn't have to be exact but close to. I have looked in hardware stores eg bunnings with no success. Does anyone know of an online store where i may be able to purchase one. Hoping not to break the bank in the process. I'm going to line it with a foam insert i'll be making to house my scope. looking at buying the case as opposed to making it as i don't have access to the tools required presently.

cheers all

have you checked out the tupper wear type stuff at your local supermarket?

Hi Nick,
It sounds like you need a trunk of sorts or you could ask a cabinet maker to make one out of plywood for you...good luck!
Cheers!

Nick - try going to your local Bunnings (or elsewhere that stocks it) and look at making a case out of QubeLok.

Just make up the frame by cutting 1" square aluminium tube to appropriate lengths to make a top and bottom section of your box. Knock in the QubeLok corners and then tekscrew your outside masonite or ply side panels on. Pop rivet a couple of hinges between top and bottom and stick a lock on the other side. Super fast to construct, strong-as and light!

Chris mate, that is actually a great idea, strong, sturdy, and not all the expensive. will do that once i get back to vic in a few weeks.
