Hi

have used the williams optic adapter to take some 10 x .4 sec images of M8.

I have stacked with a dark frame in registax and then use neatimage to reduce noise.

I am having trouble with photoshop. With strikers loveley images of a few weeks ago, auto levels, auto colour etc worked a trea, but not with these images of mine.

Can someone have a try to bring out some more detail in the smallest amount of steps?

Thanks

Dave P

Dave do you have somewhere to upload a zip of the original bmps to work with or the final stacked bmps rather than the reduced quality jpegs here? If not PM me and I'll give you an email address to send them to

I think your going to need a longer exposure to do much with the Lagoon.

Yes Kevin, to be honest i was surprised to see some red starting to come out. I have not finished the alt / az tracking yet, so was keen to see what could be accomplished with a toucam and the long exposure modification.

it is tantalising that little bit of red. Remembering strikers beauties!

Striker was using a Canon 20D though? And his exposures were 30 seconds each.

While it's possible to get good shots out of webcams it takes a lot of frames and a lot of post processing. I usually take hundreds if not thousands of short frames to get anything out of my Mintron camera.

This is the best I can do.. Didn't run any noise reduction over it though.

Not really, just a very basic levels adjust of the left and right sliders.
