hey all,
just wondering whether there is anywhere out there to get weatherproof covers for 10inch scopes. jsut got me an eq6 mount, and its heavy as hell. ive got it on a nice lil wheelie trolley, with fold down sides, but since it is now in the shed i just want to be safe and cover it up further.
cheers
Ben

Hi Ben

I use a weber bbq cover
its best to use one that has a material lining in it,either that or a cloth bag/cover underneath it, to cope with any moisture build up,

Cheers

Both myself and Asterisk (Geoff) use the TeleGizmo cover. Not really all that expensive, and if you could make it yourself out of material as good for around the same price I'd still buy one.

I use a bbq cover too and I agree, the lined ones are better to use !

I tried the Weber cover - couldn't get one long enough to cover all the electronics or big enough for the guidescope and SCT.

Both Chris and I sent our specs off to SmartAstronomy (http://yhst-1469288697390.stores.yahoo.net/index.html) and they had them made to order and shipped to us.

Must admit, the little aussie battler was doing a lot better then than now!
