Hi Guys.
I was about to pull the trigger on a 400D, however finding some where with one in stock is proving dificult. One of the places I called suggested the 1000D, just wondering if anyone has any experience with these for astro work. I can pick up a 1000D for about $849 with an IS lense.
Thanks
Sandy

Thanks Ian.
I did actually read that but I have no idea what most of it is or if it's nesasarry.
I went ahead and got the 1000D it arrives monday. I just couldnt find anywhere with a 400D in stock.
Thanks
The 400D have been discontinued and the 450D has replaced it.
The 1000D is the new entry level DSLR in the Canon Range.
For the price I think it's fine for general imaging and I see no reason it won't perform for astro imaging as well.
Congrats on the new camera and let us know how you find it.
