Hello.
I had my telescope out in the evening of Oct. 6, wanted to take a picture or two of M81. Wanted to do 3 star alignment, and the first was Arcturus low in west. The telescope started to move but stopped halfway in dec. Then after 10 or 20 seconds a noise came from the mount. Both axis were like shaking and the display in the handcontrol was flashing with the text 'initializing.......(?)'. After two days I tried again indoor with the input from Oct 6. And now the mount moved closer to the right pointing before it started again with the noise and the flashing handcontrol.
Is it an elctrical error? Has this happend to others? Do anyone have a diagram over the two PCB's, the mount and the handcontrol.
Thanks in advance.

I've only experienced this type of problem when the battery goes flat!! and the mount looses power. The little red light might still be showing on the mount but there's not enough voltage to power the motors.
(I've also had it when the joiner socket in the power connector came loose)
For the last year I've been using a computer 12V to 15V step up transformer; it gives the mount just that little bit extra booooost.
