I had a photo from a few years ago similar to that one (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/attachment_browse.php?a=11197) - did you dodge the sparky bits and the lumps of esky ice?? Excellent capture - right place right time

Andrew,
Nice shots!
David, I think I remember you posting that when you took it; but, omg, that looks like something out of Independence Day!

WOW
Phil thoses images of yours are fantastic. It is a bit like watching Independence Day when you see these types of cloud formations approaching. Sevelar people were with me at the lookout when I took my image and they were saying the same thing at the time.
Not sure if John B can remember but when we were in the US last year we saw a similar storm with what appeared to be a reverse funnel going back up INTO the cloud. A couple from the UK were actual Storm/Tornado watchers and had also noted the formation. I tried taking a photo of the event but they didn't turn out enought to tell what was going on.
I am now addicted to watching these cloud formations associated with storms.
Andrew
Lovely shots Andrew, I like the feel of foreboding that it envokes.
Cheers
