I thinking about driving up to Perth tonight, to attend the ASWA meeting, where there is a 'talk' on the Moon.

Are any local forum members likely to be going?

Not I ... it would have been a good opportunity to meet you though.

I am being taken to a shop to buy wedding invitation stationary instead!

There's usually around 30 odd people there, so hopefully several will be friendly enough to say hi and have a chat.

That's a pity Roger, but we all have to prioritise when requested :)

If I go, it will only be for the 'talk' at 20.00 hrs, and not the astronomy class, prior to that, as I've already got that 'T' shirt. ;)

I note that there's a 'hands on workshop' at the Murdoch venue this coming Friday. Not sure what this is, but I may go along and see, if its ok to do so.

Shouldn't be a problem with going to the HOW night. My impression is that visitors who are astronomy enthusiasts are welcome, it's the ones who ask "what's a star?" 10 times and/or then spill their beer which they brought on your scope which we don't get along with too well. Have a chat to Chris (president) or Jacquie (runs HOW night) at the meeting tonight.

And yeap, quite normal to only get there at 8pm, that's what I'd do.

There's a 60% chance I might be at the HOW night on Friday, have to see how things go with the invitations ;)

Roger.

Went along to the ASWA meeting in Perth last night, where I was made very welcome, by a nice bunch of people.

A most enjoyable evening, which included a fascinating talk, by a University Professor, on 'dating events on the Moon'.

Thanks guys and gals, for making me feel welcome, and an enjoyable evening.
