Sorry a post re this Kookaburra photo appears twice here in the General Chat forum, you see I also posted it to the Deep Sky forum because I spend most of my IIS time in that forum thus have developed a bit of a pixel bond with all the other loonies in there "plus" it was of my deep sky imaging rig and showed where I do my deep sky imaging from ...so I thought they might like to see it, in case they, like me, don't frequent the general chat forum and thus miss most of the posts in there....but it seems a senior IIS hall monitor grabbed my post by the ear and lead it to the general chat office to see the principal..? :ashamed: :help2:

Hi Mike,
I knew that they were using artificial Laser generated stars for feedback with the Keck's but I was unaware that, with true Australian ingenuity, you were developing your own feathered version
Does it have a name and are you using its feedback, regarding the atmospheric conditions above the scope, to generate better images?
Great idea and good to see that your using genuine Aussie Made feather-ware.
Regards
Trevor

Hi Again Mike,
Another thought.
I note that your new cutting edge development of Genuine Aussie Feather-ware also incorporates fully wireless functionality.
Cheers
Trevor
