A member of another forum I frequent has a difficult decision to make.
He currently flies domestic for Qantas and has to make a decision whether to go back to flying long haul or not from March next year.
With the opportunity to fly in this (http://www.gillesvidal.com/blogpano/cockpit1.htm) I know I would jump at the chance, Star ship Enterprise eat your heart out!

Thanks John.
Two cup holders each for the pilots - four cup holders for the flight engineer! Luxury! :D
Doesn't look like much of a lock on that cockpit door :confuse3:
ps. sunroof clearly not an option?

G'Day,
I've seen this Video before and I wondered if it was made for the "terrorist"
to show them around the cockpit, and get the feel of it,so when they decide to hijack one they will have a good idea where things are :(

from memory the A380 has provisions in it to be controlled by ATC to an extent from the ground, eg in a hijacking the FAA/CASA etc can over ride from the ground

What an amazing plane.:eyepop:
No worries about me pinching one, I could sit there for a week and still not find the start button.

I spotted the park brake, so I could release that and roll down hill ;)

That's very cool!
What's with the joystick? The pilots just need to fly it like the flight-sim PC game? :)

Cool, then you could clutch it and take off!
I just happened to be down at the Opera House early the other Sunday morning when it arrived in town. It arrived with a pass from west to east over the bridge and down the harbour, then came back for two more passes after that. Pity there was so much low cloud around, can't have been good for their publicity shots.
Cheers,
Jason.

Hi all,
I flew on this amazing plane in May.
There were times in the flight where the passengers started scratching their heads and looking around at each other, wondering if everyone else was thinking the same thing: are we still flying? The plane is so smooth that at times it doesn't even feel like you're travelling!
I can't wait to go on it again.

Joysticks like these are commonplace in modern passenger jets. Just imagine landing the bugger, like landing half a dozen housed joined together.......:scared:

I would wait until service patch 2 is released.
