Hi All,
A few good nights again, so gave the Helix Nebula another go using the ED80 for imaging and the LX200-10" for guiding, this is a Mag.13 object, not real bright, and of course would be better imaged using a cooled Camera, but im still using the EOS300D Canon (modded) and with dark frame removal it does a reasonable job, and yes I agree a higher F-ratio Scope with a bigger objective (the ED80 is only 80mm at F-7.5) would also be better, but these Scopes are not real good for the Canon, so herewith my results using what ive got.
5 x 10 Min. Exp. at ISO800, DF removed, guided, this is of course a cropped picture.
