The outer planets seem to be the flavour of the month at the moment so I may as well post my feeble efforts.

I had to max out the webcam just to get this one. Longest exposure (1/25 s), max. gain.

Taken with an 8" Dob with 2x barlow. Processed in Registax with a 1.4x Mitchell resample to try and make it a little larger. :)

I had a go at Neptune as well but I haven't processed that one yet.

Nice capture Andrew. That’s just how it looks through the eyepiece, using a little averted imagination too!

How did you get there – star hopping as I don’t think you have a GoTo mount or setting circles?

Then you deserve a quadrupling of the accolades! Non-tracking DOB, star hopping, x2 Barlow and manual focus! Man, that’s as hard as it can get - you are one determined dude!:thumbsup:
