Hi All

After spending a while lurking in the forum, looking and learning, I can finally post my first image. Thank you to everybody who takes the time to post your images, your work and passion has served to inspire my own passion in this fantastic hobby.

Taken Saturday 27 September at SASI's Waterfall club night this is 15x5 minute subs captured with my Orion Star Shoot Pro prime focus Takahashi FSQ106N mounted on my EQ6. Guiding via ED80/QHY5 mono. Captured and stacked in Maxim DL V5 and focused with Focus Max. Curves and levels in PS CS2. No darks, flats or bias frames.

I hope you like it, thanks for looking and I look forward to your feedback.

Regards
Wayne

Excellent widefield image Wayne. You have captured some lovely detail and good colours all around.

Is there any reason you didn't use any calibration frames?

Very well done. Looking forward to more.

Matty - no darks or flats as yet but they will be coming further down the track. I was going to do a set of flats Saturday but by the time I got down to Waterfall and setup our club had a number of participants in our astro course, SASPAC, down there. I was answering a number of questions from them as well as catching up with people I hadn't seen for a while because of the conditions we have had in Sydney over recent months.

Steve - thanks for the tip on sleep deprivation. I hear you loud and clear after the weekend :).

I'll upload a Tarantula from Friday night that I finished off late yesterday and didn't get around to processing.

Bring on IISAC in a months time.

Wayne

Thanks for the kind words Mike.

I must admit I'm stoked you like it. Your efforts have been a constant source of reference to me. I'm also glad that Matty dropped me a line as well because I have been following his progress as well.

I did indicate I have been lurking for a while :).
