Well it finally happened. The pathetic lame ridiculous Melbourne weather has finally resulted in me dreaming about being outside at the scope, but with something happening that tries to put a stop to all observations!

The other night, I had a very vivid dream that I was touring the LMC with the 12" dob. At one point in the dream, my parents tried to disturb me with lights, and I got pissed off and then woke up. Translated into real life, that would be analogous to Melbourne cloud putting a stop to my stargazing.

On another night, I dreamed that I was observing Jupiter, but then it started raining right into my scope :(

And then another night, I dreamt that my scope was completely screwed, like the mirrors were damaged during an outing and all that. Waking up was such a relief! :P

Sab old mate, you've REALLY got to find yourself another hobby that you can practice on cloudy days.
Or maybe you could approach the problem from a Jungian perspective. Why not take up the study of meteorology?;)

Every one tells me to be patient, everyone suggests ways of "approaching" the problem....... at the end of the day it ain't gonna do any good is it?

Coz my ENTER fell about 30 points too short.....

Whats not going to do you any good is stressing out over things that you cannot control.

Just repeat the old Seinfeld mantra:

Or do as Phil suggests:P

Hi 你B, Phil & All,

Well, here's a good hobby for you -- cheap, I think you've got the talent and the location for it and you're already dreaming about it:

BTW, Excellent night last night until about 2.30am at our Southern Highlands site. Pulled in about 60 new galaxies and saw heaps of "old friends". Will post a report later though I think it will take a week to write up the observations.

Best

But then again human nature being what it is.........

It's no different to being pissed off when stuck in a traffic jam, I'd hazard that 99.99% of people would be swearing their heads off behind their rolled up windows!

z0mg lmfao it's like a religious cult! :scared: Some of the comments and statements on that site are just gold.

A good book may be the way to go Sab until the clouds pass.

"Lord of the Rings" might be a good starter.:D

Cheers

I hate Lord of the Rings, and I hate Harry Pothead even more.

Unless the book has a million pages, it won't outlast the clouds.
