Taken with old equipment and a busted camera which made colour balance difficult to control.

RRGB image 50m L=R, 10m R, 10m G, 15m B Scope C11 and ST-8E.

Still one of my favourite images.

Very very nice Steven. I love the detail in the core. One of the best I've seen.

A fine image Steven.

Like Doug has said, the detail you have captured in the core is quite amazing.

Very well done.

Very nicely done Stephen with lovely detail.
The core is full of 'jewels'.

Excellent control of the exposure in the core. So many shots lose the detail in the glare but yours is beautifully balanced.

Thanks Lester.

The observatory is not very sophisiticated but at least it's functional.

Thanks Mike.
I don't see too many Tarantula's which show 30 Doradus.

You've managed to keep the stars colourful and soft while extracting sharp nebulosity details in the back. Top shot.

Great image Steven very good processing. Agree with Marc you've extracted detail in the core without blowing the stars out
