Ouch, asimov got to the new member first!!!!!
don't listen to asimov, he is not addicted, he just posts 13 odd posts a day. ( I only can manage 10 ).
in all seriousness, there are great guys and girls here to help you with buying scopes, new toys for scopes, picture taking etc etc.
No question is silly, cos i have asked most of them and they haven't giggled at me too much.
One of the best bunch of people I have had the pleasure of knowing!!
hey welcome to the forum :)
this place isnt adictive at all.... just dont look at my post count :ashamed:

He hasn't said he needs a scope yet, he might already have one or more! :)
Welcome Andrew, great to have another central coast member, and just near our Kulnura monthly new moon sessions!
Our next session will be early September (not this weekend, but next). There'll be a thread about it in the star parties forum next week i'm sure.
What sort of equipment do yuo currently have?
I think my next scope will be a dob, always wanted one.....
As for my equipment, I have a Classic Meade 12" SCT and an Orion 80ED which I can use as a guide scope with an ST4 or on it's own EQ mount, a Canon 300D and a ToUcam.
What I really need is more time to dedicate to the hobby....
And I'll try to make the next meeting @ Kulnura.
Thanks to all for your warm welcome.

a 7 year old girl
a 9 year old girl
a 10 year old boy
a 12 year old son
and a 14 year old teenage daughter.

Welcome "Rocket Boy", great brood you have there. You have more members in your family than some astronomy clubs I know :P
I know.... "The Rockets Astronomy Club", you could register it as Inc, apply for grants ....
Don't listen to all those other Rabid Dobbers, you have a a great SCT .... I'm sure you won't want one of those 16" dobs when they come out :P :prey:

Hi Rocket Boy,
Glad to meet you, and welcome to the madhouse.
By the way guys, instead of getting him to buy a Dob, why not talk him into buying a couple of Naglers, so you can borrow them off him.

Show us your rockets Rocket Man. :anaut:
I havent played with any for 30 odd years.
What style do you use?
Ok Slice,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com />
<P style=
Here's my collection.

First image:
There's the Apollo 11, The Mongoose, Space Cruiser, AstroCam,
The Wizzard, The Yankee, White Lightning and The UFO.
Second Image: Standing up including launch pad.
Third Image: My son A.J. with the Apollo 11 Rocket.
I'm not sure what you mean by style. I just use the engines that are recommended for these usually C class. With the little rockets I can get an estimated 1800 feet alt.
I am going to build a 6 foot one soon which uses D size !
Cheers
Rocket Boy.
