This one was taken last week on a very windy night with a nearly full moon. Seeing was hiddeous but at least it was clear. It contains NGC 456,465 and 460 in the SMC. I thought I would have enough data at about 70 x 1min but it really needs three or four times this much as I had no end of trouble processing this one. Probably a bit ambitious but here it is.

its also a bit low in the sky but yes 7 x 10 minute subs would be better..but still thats not a bad result, given the horrible conditions

I agree given the times you describe you have done pretty well Matt, have to admit though our weather has been fairly poor of late.

My lot from last night are in the bin, realized at the end of the night that one of my dew heater straps became unpluged some how, and the lens of the scope was fogged up all night while i was imaging, pretty poor result.

Leon

Hi Matt, everything looks nice and sharp. what bandwidth Ha filter were you using?

Thanks for all your interest. Yes Leon, given the conditions I probably should have left this one in the circular archive. Would love to shoot longer exposures seeker but no guiding yet and despite having sorted my alignment I have a wobble in the RA axis that is causing double star images in about half of my subs. Ric, the filter is a standard Astronomik H alpha 656nm with a bandpass of 13nm.
