I had a shot at NGC6357 after seeing Ken's effort. Then I noticed some nebulousity in the lower left so re-framed to include it - the Cat's Paw. Just made it. This is a full frame and no crop.

9 X 7 min @ISO 800
Tak Sky 90 @4.5 with Hutech V3 filter
Hutech modded Canon 450D.

Not sure about the colour.

Thanks for looking.

Top image Craig, at first look it seemed a bit too red, but after studying it for a while the red may just be more fainter nebulosity that you have picked up.

Well done.

Very nice Craig - I don't mind the red bias either.
Under your watch that Tak 90 produces some very nice stuff.
I'm also noting down these interesting NGC objects now that my goto is functioning well!!

Lovely wide field. I think these are pretty strong Ha emitters so the Red seems ok. I took some Ha of the paw earlier this year but can't wait to have a propper crack at these two next season. Thanks

Thanks Lester and Matt.

And Doug, I am happy with the Sky 90. Has a nice wide field but still lets me get in there a certain way - not always as close as I would like. I used flats on this image which seemed to give a more even field, so I might try and reprocess the Horsehead I did recently for a slightly wider view.

Good image.

I'd love to hear a review of your Hutech 450D.
Especially as it compares to any other Canon model you may have had.

Thanks all.

Greg, I've only had the 450D a short time so I don't think I've come to any real conclusions but of course, being modded, it is more sensitive to my Canon 400 and probably has more dynamic range and hence more detail in the highs and lows. I went for the 450D instead of the 40D because of the weight - I wanted to keep the rig light as the Sky 90 is not a heavy scope.

Those Taks are nice Leon, as you know. I remember seeing your Cat's Paw not so long ago.
