Hi all,
I bought myself a Canon EF 24-105mm F/4L IS USM lens on a recent trip to Melbourne. I like to refer to it as my birthday present. ;)
I took it to Floriade on Saturday and gave it a whirl. What a fantastic lens!
The contrast in this L-bomb is amazing. There's plenty of distortion at 24mm -- it's definitely not a landscape lens, unless you're willing to sort it out in post-processing (which, admittedly, is not that difficult). Otherwise, I'm blown away. It will compliment the Canon EF 70-200mm F/2.8L IS USM that I am going to get in November, along with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II (the kit version of the camera comes with the 24-105mm lens), quite well.
The final image is Bellatrix (Bella), my friend and colleague Cassandra's pet miniature schnauzer.
All images were shot at the native F/4 and at ISO-100, except for the last image, which was shot at ISO-200.
These images have been reduced in resolution. Higher resolution images available upon request.
Comments and critique welcome.
Regards,
Humayun
