Hi
Last night finally got to get under the stars again. Did my longest ever astrophoto, 4.1 hours on the Helix Neb in 7 Nm Ha. The skies were very milky so no point in broadband imaging.
25x10 mins ISO 800, Baader 7Nm Ha filter, uv/ir cut filter, 300mm f2.8 flourite lens from Bert. Modded 350D, on a warm night. Image run included a meridian flip.

Superb image Scott.
Very sharp and amazing detail for 300mm focal length
Great effort too considering the various obstacles you had to overcome.

Wonderful image Scott.
Very sharp and I like that hanging in space feel about it.

Thanks all
Hand guided using Qguider cam and laptop alongside the mount, much easier then looking down the guidescope

Lovely image with loads of detail and a nice focus. Still don't know if I like Ha image. Always looks like someone forgot to turn the colour on.
Nice clean image. Well done.
