Here are some answers to questions I've been asked:

the potential combinations do make these denk binoviewers confusing at first, but the literature included with the bino makes it clear how to use it. I'll try to give a clear explanation.

The powerswitch stays connected to the bino's for all scopes. Only 1.25" eyepieces can be used, with the lowest power eyepieces being 30mm plossls or 24mm Panoptics. You use your normal diagonal.

For SCT's: the OCS (2" optical correcting tube that threads onto the nosepiece) is not used. Just put the 2" nosepiece of the bino into your 2" diagonal, then select any of the 3 powers using the powerswitch and refocus. Magnifications are 0.6x, 0.9x and 1.15x.

For Refractors: the lens cell from the OCS is threaded onto the nose of your 2" diagonal, then the bino is inserted into the diagonal. Magnifications are 1.25x, 1.8x and 2.25x.

For Newts: the whole OCS tube is screwed onto the bino nosepiece and inserted into the focuser. Magnifications are 1.2x, 1.7x and 2.3x.

SCT's don't need the OCS because they focus by moving the main mirror, which gives plenty of focus travel to account for the extended light path when using the binoviewer. There is a 1.25" nosepiece that could be used with 1.25" diagonals but I have no experience in using the bino with an ETX. Objects that look great in the bino's are moon, planets and brighter DSO's. Hope that helps but just ask if you have any more questions.
