Mike hope you dont mind me posting so many picture's.

Had a go at M20 tonight between 6:30pm and 7:30pm....one day I might even wait for the scope to cool down...lol

Tonight seeing seemed to be very good as it's the first time I could actualy see some of the milkyway.

20 x 30 second stacked images processed and resized in Photodeluxe.
SCT Prime focus on C11 at F10 FL 2800mm....unguided.

8 x ISO 800 + 8 x ISO 1600 + 6 x ISO 3200

What do you think....Its not anywhere near as good as Robby's but again I am very Happy.

"Mike hope you dont mind me posting so many picture's."

I was saying that there is no way you would mind Tony posting so many pictures.

Especially of the quality that TOny has been posting.

I too can't wait to do some longer exposures but I need to get the guiding worked out first.

I will first try some 1 minute exposures and see how bad the star trails are.

A mate of mine has a 20D and he is very happy with the shots he gets (terrestrial). Your images are very good Tony and the only thing that I can suggest is taking longer exposures at a lower ISO, this will allow you to go deeper than you already have. Aside from that, these are lovely images and I would be happy with these results. Welcome to the deep space club.
