I workin a public library.
we have decorations up. :thumbsup:
we are handing out free chockies like theres no tomorrow.
the staff are extra cheerful. :love:
we have xmas CDs playing all the greats all day long.





... there is not a single book on depression left in the library :shrug:

Must be because after seeing how extra happy all the librarians are, the people realise their life must truly be down in the dumps if librarians can be that happy in their job! :lol: j/k :D

On a serious note, it does kinda make sense though, xmas is a time of year where to most people, family is very important, and there are a lot of people who don't have a family to spend xmas with, or don't have contact with loved ones anymore etc, so I guess it's a time of year where people can get quite depressed.

The nursing home 10 houses away from me is the most depressing place to walk past....

On xmas day I should pop in and say gday.... Many residents dont even get visitrs...

good nursing homes have a christmas programme with activities of some sort. but still its a lonely life for them. I have done plenty of book deliveries to NHs and some are appauling...
