It seems northern hemisphere observers are well catered for with lists such as Best of NGC (http://www.seds.org/messier/xtra/similar/sac110bn.html) and RASC (http://www.seds.org/messier/xtra/similar/rasc-ngc.html) , but has anyone composed any "best of the sky" lists for us southerners?

Hi Geoff. Do you have Starry night Pro? In the options menu there is a catagory under Deep Space of "Finest NGC Objects" and another one "Brightest NGC Objects". If you don't have it then I believe there is a free downloadable version called Starry Night Enthusiast. Under the same menu it has "Bright NGC" In both you can use the find tab at the right side of the screen and then by right clicking on the "Q" and selecting the database you want. Don't know how to print it out though sorry :)
