I thought I might actually do a little observing now that the dreaded Lerghy has passed for now. I was too crook to go outside while Saturn was around and even when the Moon hung low in the west.

All the usual suspects:- Venus, Mars, Mercury and Spica. Dipping into the trees is 3rd mag Gamma Virginis Porrima. The sky was a bit murky, which was a plus for the sunset driving home this evening.

Nicely presented, Tony.

It illustrates just how far away Mars is when it's so dim relative to Mercury!

Thanks Al. I always liked Mercury. Not always the best to view, but when the inclination is right, it stands out like the proverbial.

Nice one Tony.

I always like these widefield planetary views, especially when combined over a series of nights to show their movement.
