Hi :welcome: I imaged NGC 3576 in Carina back in June , just finished putting it together. I tried using a UHCS filter for the colour images, seems to keep the stars a little smaller. First time I have used a off axis guider, this let me increase my subs from 3 min. to 10 min. compared to guidescope.

16" F5 NEWT, coma corrector, OAG UHCS filter, Ha filter, ST4 auto guider,
QHY8 camera,
Exposure details: RGB 1.5 hours, Ha 2.5 hours, processing in PS

clear skies,
Ken

Nice one Ken.
I've not seen that before but will look to put it on my target list.
Plenty of detail and nice dark background.
Well done.

Adding that one to the to do list Ken ... I will be happy if I finish with something 1/2 as good as this one ... got a lot going for it that image.

Great shot

Thanks guys for the kind words. This is a nice object, probably better suited for a focal length of around 1500mm with a APS size chip not the 2000mm I used. Still struggling with tracking problems and getting sharp stars in all the corners.

Blending Ha with RGB using a one-shot colour camera is difficult using PS, I seem to get a different result every time I try!

Great detail. I've not heard of this one either. Must have a look.
