My wife uses that plan to perfection Randall .. I'm completely amazed at some of the stuff I buy her for her birthdays and such .. as I have no recollection of any of it :)

"Forbidden Planet" 1957 starring Leslie Neilson, Walter Pidgeon etc one of the best sci-fi movies made for it's time, if not the best.

Aha... are you paying attention. This may take some explaining...
You may be aware that I have ordered a Skyshed POD - but it hasn't arrived yet... however, progress on the site preparation for it has been slow. All the earthworks are now done, and I'm keen to get the concreting done so it's ready when the POD arrives. Today I took delivery of a concrete mixer as a Father's day present, and I'm keen to start on the pier footing...
So while the purchase is not directly astronomical in nature, there is a link that I'm suspicious about...:P

HAPPY FATHERS DAY ALL YOU DAD'S AND GRANDPA'S~
Don't ever underestimate your importance to your children. May you all be part of a wonderful celebration of love. Oh...and those all important clear skies~:)

I,m home again ( after 6 nights )to enjoy fathers Day, but it will be great b4 i head out again into the great blue yonder.....cheers Kev.
A very Happy Father's Day to all the dad's and granddad's.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable day today.
All my kids surprised me this morning with lovely little gifts which they made themselves and they all pitched in to buy me some men's cologne, a coffee mug and a pen.
My youngest son (6) gave me a rock, he loves collecting rocks, and my very youngest daughter (4) gave me some of her drawings .
A pair of sunnies and t-shirts from my wife and a special pancake breakfast made it a real treat.
It certainly was busy around the breakfast table this morning.

Not being a dad I got nuffin' :P. I went out to visit my old bloke but didn't get him a present. The only thing I can give him that he needs now is my time. So I sat there and smiled while he told me the same old stories again :D.

Yeah...sorry...I got a scope (it was only a little one honest) so I put my hand up for the bad weather over the weekend. It looks nice in Sydney at the moment but as each hour goes by there's more and more cloud :(
It was a Celestron Nexstar 80 GTL for the record - it's going to be my travel scope...only...it's a bit bigger than I thought ! ;)

I'm very pleased with my present. It's one of those Logitech Harmony Universal Remote Control units. Press one button and all devices start lighting up and doing stuff. Much better than having to pick up four remotes to accomplish the same task.
500gb external HD for my photos :)

I was guessing you were describing a dementia issue. If so, well then, you're like the rest of us who spend/spent considerable time interacting with a parent with dementia. In my view it is not easy and tests the patience of many beyond its limit.
I'll stop being off-thread now. :)
Well for fathers day i got a two step ladder so i can reach the eyepiece when its up high lol lol oh i didt get my dad anything but the kids got hubby a big ladder and seen the little one for me so they could have there little chair back haha (yes i am a short ass):lol:

Home and 3 of the eyepieces here. Fourth arrives maybe Friday.
Updates: Scopes arrived in Sydney, looks like I will have them out next weekend, weather permitting.
Sigh... first time I've had a brand new telescope in 25 years (ie that I didn't make myself).
