Whoop! i just got back inside after 2 hours of viewing. as most know, i'm a complete amateur with astronomy, and i'm really happy with my attempt. Now I admit the finder scope was probably off, and i hadn't aligned to the SCP (Still gotta get a compass) but i found jupiter, and with my ebay scope i could see the bands on it :) :) :) :) :)
Tried the moon, but due to living on the side of a hill i couldn't get a good enough view.
Can't wait for a better night and a compass :) :) :) :)
By the way, i'd still be outside if it wasn't for an exam tomorrow.
