Just thought I would try my new 450D. Lots of cloud so only 5 images with ICNR - 4mins @ISO 1600 with CLS Astronomik filter stacked in Nebulousity and finished in PS. Cropped to about two thirds. I hope to try some longer exposures at either 800 or 400 ISO to get more detail and dynamic range.
Did reduce the saturation in red a little.

Thanks for looking.

Have to agree, Graig a fine effort for only 5 frames, well done indeed.

Thanks Paul and Leon. I wish the stars were a little rounder among other things. Wonder whether it is all too red? And got to get this tracking right to do the longer exposures.

Lookin good Craig, maybe a tad red but still a pleasing image. Yes get that guiding sorted and a lower iso and you shall be a happy chappy!

Thanks Gary. I'm still drooling over your recent effort and the wonderful translucency and colours you captured.

Nice work Craig, some excellent detail captured and that bright star near the nebula is a beauty with a lovely glow about it, really adds a sparkle to the image

nice image....... the red hmmmm , bit like coffee add sugar to taste, some like it some dont. you could get the eyedropper tool out and check the background levels, pick a blank bit of sky and see if the RGB values are similar , that will give you an idea if it has an overall cast. But you have lots of detail there so
