Had a nice night! Pleanty of people who paid us a visit at the Harbour Foreshore in Newcastle. Anyway I will let the pictures do the talking.

Oh BTW, we were able to view m57 through direct lighting, bushfire haze and a almost full moon. Orions scope of poles and a 18" shaving go lo mirror and stuff just managed to resolve the disc, where as the superior Meade 12" had a fine view with sharp crisp non colourful shape well shown!! :poke: Thanks Ed :D

Was only in Brisbane for the day, 2nd time in a month I've been there for work.. but not expecting to go up again for a while.

I might be going to India for work in October (for a week), that'll be interesting.. first time out of the country!

Nice photos Venus!
It was a little difficult for me to do some observing at that spot I couldn't make my mind whether to grab the telescope or the fishing gear!

I like the second photo. How does Houghy do that, the telescope must be bolted to the ground (the things we do for astronomy!) :)

I'll tell you a little secret Orion, that's how we females can tell if a male is married they're all horizontal!

Actually that photo explains alot. For one, why h0ughy keeps buying eyepieces to try to find one he likes. Hint:h0ughy - to see the moon, look through the other end ;):P
