Not overly happy with my setting and method with the LPI yet. This was with the supplied Autostar suite - will try K3CCDtools next.
Can anyone ident the craters for me ? Am a newby on the moon

Sorry Grant, I can't identify a section of the Moon I took the other night!
What LPI is it? Meade?, NexImage?

thanks!!! I thought that was the one - but couldn't be sure.
The LPI is Meade's Lunar Planetary Imager.

Grant,
I'd be happy with that, The moon will always have what looks like overexposed areas. What I generally do is select the "Auto-Adjust" once the camera is happy pull the exposure time back a few stops and then run it through "Curves" in PS to bring back the darker areas.
