Who else is responsible for all these cloudy nights? Surely I'm not the only person that bought a new telescope and brought the clouds upon me. Who else is responsible?, c'mon own up now.

Nah, wasn't you, it was the lass here in Perth that bought a new rain gauge...

oops, should have explained that, I can see you all going "huh?" from here - while you are stuck under cold cloudy conditions, we here in the west are stuck under clear dry skies. I'm on a weather forum and one of the newer members just bought herself a shiny new rain gauge and it stopped raining, so we're blaming it on her!

Seriously though, it must be time to start all blowing in the same direction and get the patterns moving again, while I've been enjoying the sunshine we still need more rain!

It really doesn't matter anymore. The fault lies with whoever decided NOT to have the equator running thru the middle of Australia.

One day this unfortunate miserable town will see sun clear skies again. I hope. :mad2:

Craig,

If it is any consolation, mate, I also bought a 12" GSO
recently.
I have had probably 2 good nights use of it worth mentioning
in about a month.
To say I am frustrated with the run of bad weather would be putting it
mildly.

Whenever I plan for weeks to capture a specific thing in the sky...
be it minor planet occultaion, galilean transit etc etc, Adelaide nearly
ALWAYS lets me down, but I also remember that when I wanted Adelaide
weather to help me get Mars at the 2005 night of closest approach,
she didn't let me down, and that was mid winter, just like now.
I don't think I can recall being so shut out from viewing for such long intervals.
Normally a typical winter is a week of bad weather followed by about a week of high pressure systems and good nights in a cycle.

regards,

Steve B.

Ehhh! Sorry, but it might be me.
Just bought a 300D, and got the mount set up for a guide scope and Goto. The 10" Dob that a friend gave me probably isn't helping either. :)
Just had a look at the weather map and the only big patch of cloud in all Oz is sitting over trhe top of us. Must be Karma or summat.

I knew it, I knew it wasn't all my fault. The rain has been good, just wish the clouds would pee off if their not going to drop any of the wet stuff.

In response to your initial heading, "It is not all my fault" that may be so Graig, but you will have to take a bigger percentage of it.
