Hi all,

Here is an image of the Hubble Space Telescope's close pass by Jupiter this evening. Taken with a K100D and 300mm lens, 1.5 sec exposure at f/8, 800iso. Both Europa and Callisto are visible, the other 2 moons are hidden in the glare of Jupiter. Hope you like it,

Cheers,
Stephen

Great capture of the HST Stephen. Jupiter's two moon looks great as well.

Very well done. :)

seems you've caught the same comet looking object that Dennis caught the on the 10th :) right hand side of frame near the center.. I wonder what that is??

Good pic of HST + Jupiter... I attempted the same on the 10th but re-aligning the camera after the exposure of HST going rising in the west, I wasnt quick enough..

Nice shot Stephen.

Wow Alex – you must have a good computer screen – I had to pump Curves to see the lens flare in this shot! It looks like ol’ Jove seems to like producing these cometary flares.

Cheers

Thanks guys! The clouds have come in this morning so I think I got lucky. It's a shame about the bit of tripod wobble, but never mind.

Cheers,
Stephen
