I have an unused JMI Event Horizon 1N focuser, that has never been on a scope.
When I bought it, there was an issue with the rear bearing shell being cracked, but this was replaced directly by Steve at JMI.
This is the biggest of the Event Horizon bunch, with a super slow 1:10 graduated slow motion, perfect for CCD work. It will also lift big and heavy cameras with no slippage. It has a rotatable base for image rotation and framing your shot. It can also be upgraded to take the JMI motorfocus unit which is a 5 minute job.
If I was being super-critical, there is a shallow score mark on the side of the draw tube from the initial testing with a cracked bearing, but this has no effect in use. If you wanted to replace the drawtube for cosmetic reasons, JMI sell them separately, but there is no need. A dab of a marker pen would fix it even.
Sorry about the strange pic, but the tiniest flecks of dust reflect the flash.
New, this focuser is $479 AUD.
How about a sensible offer?
Regards,
Rob.
