I have seen this many times. It has been doing the rounds of Govt depts for awhile now. From what I can make out it is real but..................

This emerged on the 4WD websites years ago (2005) and has been argued as genuine. I believe that it was even going to be used in an ad campaign - so that's blown its credibility... LOL!

I guess we'll never know. I've also just been on the Cloud Appreciation Society's website and coud swear that some of the formations aren't real.....

Did ya know you can check snopes.com for pictures, too?

I went there and put in map australia in the search mode and viola~ It came up.

I LOVE SNOPES.COM! Photoshopping these days is very precise and I know many who do it quite well. I have a picture of me in Patrick Swayze's arms. ahahahaha. A friend did that for me several years ago and I had great fun showing it to my kids. Yes, I confessed the truth...grudgingly. lol.

I don't forward half the stuff I get because I check with snopes first...and if I DO forward something....I include the snopes link to show I checked first.

A very handy website. :)

Well , looks authentic to me , judging from the reflections on the water and the shadows on the sand.

Would have loved to have seen the look on the faces of the people when came across it in their travels .... priceless !!

I'm sorry to disappoint the army but they have been had. The trees (Eucalypts) in that photo have never been within 15,000 km of Sudan. Genuine or fake.....fake for me.

Hard to tell isn't it?
Here's my one and only attempt at a 'photoshoped' image, done about 5 years ago for a friend... took a couple of hours to do.
There are three things in this image that don't belong...
(ignore compression artefacts, full image is smooth)

Here's the original, the owner was umming and ahhing about whether to modify the car for twin exhausts... I was in favour.... my edit (2nd muffler, shadow, numberplate) convinced him to go ahead :D
He didn't take to my numberplate suggestion though, hehe.

I called into the office this morning, and noticed a colleague had this image as his wallpaper on his PC, (much larger of course) noticing it straight away after reading this thread, I said to him "so you've found that photo as well", "Whaddya mean! I'm the one who took it " was his reply, he also added that it hasn't been photoshopped
