Hello all ;),

Lisa here (of drewandlisa), wanted to say HELLO and thanks for a great fun and informative forum. Drew and I have recently purchased a 12" dob from Andrews Comm (after toooo much reading lol, information overlaod), wow, :D am soooo impressed with the sky (not that i wasn't before our dob experience), can do nothing else these days but wait for the night!. When Carl Sagan said "trillion billion", lol, he wasnt kidding. Your forum was much helpful with collimation and many other things. Many thanks guys!

We also got ourselves an slr and are attempting some photos, so far some great pics of the Moon and Jupiter.

We are from Sydney and was wondering who else was from Sydney? Would love to meet up and talk telescope, lol, us newbies have so many questions.

Hi Lisa, :welcome: to IceInSpace and thanks for posting! Sounds like you're well and truly hooked, great to see.

You're welcome to come to the viewing nights we have up at the Central Coast, at Mangrove Mountain, every new moon. There's also other astro societies/clubs who have viewing nights in and around Sydney if they suit you better. It's a great hobby to share with people, so if you can make it to any viewing nights then you'll enjoy it even more.

Don't forget also, IISAC2008 coming up in just over 2 months!
