Had a go at M20 last night with the ST2000xcm, just managed to get 3x15 subs before the region was out of view behind my house's roof. Used 3 separate darks and a number of bias frames, seemed to have less hot pixels then the previous night. Really have to get a handle on how to bring out star colours....cheers for looking and clear skies to all.

Nice result on the neb, Stuart. I found that for star colours, nothing beats more exposures.

You can also try Noel Carboni's "enhance star colours" action.

Very nice Stuart.
Is that 3x15sec or 3x15mins!?
I know it's going to be the former and I'm going to kick myself for buying a DSLR instead of a CCD!!

All the best
Doug

Looking very nice Stuart, colours are vivid.
Maybe increase the file size from 90k as it shows a fair bit of jpg compression.

I agree. Noel Carboni actions are very handy. You can run the same action more than once and in the case of the above usually requires several goes through.
