Ok i'm addicted to taking shots of the moon but as a starter to better things it's a good object to choose
5 images prime focus 1/125 sec f/5 exposure stacked Registax enhanced in PS using 120mm Skywatcher Pentax k100d
2 and 3rd images resized
ps: don't forget clicking the fit to window button when viewing these

Did you edit any of the wavelet settings in registax? it can help dig out good detail...
Also, in photoshop do you have a deconvolution filter? I have found that on moon photos, Maximum Entropy deconvolution yields great results...
These are however, fine images of the fairly new waxing crescent.

Hi Alex
No wavelet adjustment or deconvolution filter used
Did try some focus fixing that was it

Nice one Trevor, some blue fringing apparent but otherwise they look nice.
I'd prefer to see them resized to 800px or so, that way they don't need to be compressed as heavily to fit under the filesize limit.

Thanks Mike use the achromat so probably reason for blue fringing I'll remember the resizing option next time around. Anyone know where I can get an extra long tube extender as my Barlow wont come to focus with the camera attached with these SFL scopes. It will when I have the 2" diagonal put first then the Barlow but this option is to cumbersome.
Cheers
i dont know about PS but PSP has a very good CA remover that would probably get rid of that fringing :)
i dont know that resizing did it any favours as i like the small one best. well done :)

Trevor - how much extension do you need roughly. I have a GSO 2" 50mm extension that I bought off the forums that I have not used since buying it... might do the trick?
