A partial eclipse of the Moon will occur on August 17 and will be visible in India from 1.06 am to 4.14 am. It will be visible through most of Asia, South America, Europe and Australia. Though the eclipse would be partial, over 80% of the Moon's diameter would be covered by the darker shadow of the earth at the time of the eclipse.

Jen, if it says the 16th it's probably in GMT/UTC - it's the 17th in our local time.
