Paul / Ron
I'm not likely to make it - though you never know! I think I'll be heading out to Leyburn that weekend. Its been a while since I have been out there and it's about the same travel time for me to either location.

Pop on up for a chat Ian. It's only an hour or so by train to Nambour and the train leaves right outside the airport. And its only half an hour to Ron's from Nambour.

oops - will miss Leyburn as well. Doing Friday night with the scope in the field with my Scout group - so better reserve Saturday for the family.

Paul, Dennis, Gordon
Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. I did bring a camera with me but as I was late it took me until dusk to set up so I didn't get any shots of the group. Did you take any people shots Paul? I thought the seeing was good tho not exceptional. Those who went to Leyburn were clouded out.

How was it! How was it! How was it! Did get out, but only from my apartment balcony in suburbia. Spent the weekend whale and dolphin watching from Straddie (my other "passion").

See Pauls report and images in the post above yours,it wasa good night, seeing average but quite a few objects where observed with a 25" 16" 10" and a C90 scopes plus some imaging with Pauls setup before close down at 01:00 due to cloud cover, but it was most enjoyable night just the same.astroron  :astron:
