21 hr old Moon from Brisbane

Hi All,

Using Venus as a guide and a pair of binoculars, I managed to track down the <1 day old Moon this evening, for the first time. The attached image was taken using a K100D and 300mm telephoto, then cropped and adjusted in PS7.

I'm happy to have captured it! :D, but I see that I've been outdone by Vincent (Cookie8)!!!

Yes Stephen. I started to panic after 20mins searching( ask myself was I looking at the wrong place??) Words cannot describe my excitment when first spotted it with a pair of 10x50. Even more so than finding a twilight comet I reckon. I cannot see it naked eye until very late and my camera's AF would not work( I also tried using the 300mm Canon kit lens) give you an idea how dim it was against the background sky! Cheers;)
