Thought Id try the LPS filter with the 300mm f2.8 flourite lens from Bert
6x5mins ISO200, Modded 350D. 2 inch LPS and UV/IR filter in rear of lens. Processing was much more fun with the new Vista64 system ripping through the task, the quad core allowing me to surf the Net while Iris did its work. Finishing the image off with Photoshop was better, as it took just a few seconds to launch PS.

Scott, guiding is tight as, nice work. OK, processing is quick with vista, but colour is a bit over saturated. And, dude, the posted res is a joke, get a site or post on an image server.

You've pushed red a bit much, but the FOV and detail levels are great...
Guiding looks brilliant... This image makes me even more keen to work out a way to mount my 300mm F/2.8 to my EQ6...
Can you provide an image of how you mount it all up?

When I set up the gear again I will take a pic or 2 of it.

That's a really spectacular image, I like it. There seems to be a bit of M8 missing at the bottom. I didn't realise it went that far till now.
