Very nice clear pic Raymond, excellent work. Well done!

Was the pic taken in Hong Kong? If so, how do you get around the massive light pollution?

Yes the images were taken in Hong Kong in the sub-urban area. Light pollution can be avoided provided that there is no dust pollution at the same time.

I use Hutech LPS P2 filter to reduce the artificial street lights in the nearly public car parks.

Very impressive capture Raymond.. you gotta be happy with that..
I was after it the other night and ended up on Ngc 55 and photographed it thinking it was the silver dollar ..bit of a surprise when I checked the photos to find I was miles away.

Dear Louie,

Your guess is right. With only 12 min exposures at F7, the cobmined images must be noisy. I use Neat Image to remove some of the ugly noise around the outer rim of the galaxy but some noises were still visible if you look at it carefully.

Just a quick fix. More exposure time (say, 1-2 hrs) will be even better :)

Oh boy I would love to see this shot with 2 hours exposure ! and It was no guess Raymond I could see Neat Image doing Its thing in the core of the Galaxy.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work !

Louie
