these images were acquired at kulnura with the ETX 70 and an atik 1c

because the ETX70 is not equatorially mounted (and the gears are plastic!), only about 10 to 15 % of frames are useable, and anyway images cannot be more than about 10 or 15 seconds long

For the dumbell I took the colour images from home in sydney and only took the black and white at Kulnura. I then stacked these using luminosity as the blend mode in Photoshop

with the Swan i simply forgot to take any colour images at kulnura so all i finished with is the black and white

(I find that with these webcams Black and white tends to bring out more detail, so stacking a colour image with black and white using luminosity as blend mode helps bring out more detail-seeing each exposure is so short, need all the leverage i can get )

Not withstanding all the hassles, I find I enjoy pushing this little scope to its limits..

Very nice Seeker! I actually like B&W over colour on some DSOs....Gives it that more 'classy/classical' look..I've been studying this nebula lately, I could never see it as a 'swan' in pics or real-life....until I saw your B&W shot. :confuse3:  Now I can see the shape of the swan no worries! :D
